COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -
Steve Spurrier says South Carolina is far
from a finished product, so he and his team don't plan to make too
much of their Top 25 ranking and long streaks of success over the
next opponent, Kentucky.

Spurrier has been encouraged by the Gamecocks (4-1, 1-1
Southeastern Conference) play their past three victories and is
glad for the No. 25 position in the latest rankings. But he says
the Wildcats aren't much different than South Carolina and the
Gamecocks will need continued improvement if they hope to win
Saturday.

Spurrier is 16-0 all-time against the Wildcats, including a 4-0
mark at South Carolina. The Gamecocks have won their past nine
contests against Kentucky.
