CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) -

Five different players scored touchdowns
for Wofford as the Terriers held off Western Carolina for a 35-26
win on Saturday, snapping a four-game losing skid.

Michael Scott, Mike Rucker, Mitch Allen and Stev Davitte all
scored rushing touchdowns for the Terriers (2-5, 1-3 Southern
Conference), and Ben Wilmoth recovered Scott's goal-line fumble for
their final TD. Scott finished with a team-high 92 yards rushing.

Allen's 23-yard touchdown, Wilmoth's recovery and Davitte's
12-yard scamper put Wofford up 21-0 after the first quarter.

The Catamounts (1-6, 1-4) battled back with 1-yard touchdown
runs from Mike Johnson and Dion Wilson to pull within 28-14 at
halftime.

Johnson's 13-yard touchdown and Wilson's second 1-yarder got the
Catamounts within 28-26 just seconds into the fourth, but Rucker's
3-yard touchdown with 4:52 left sealed the win.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -
Miguel Starks rushed for four touchdowns
- including a fumble recovery in the end zone - and passed for
another in his first career start to lead The Citadel over Furman
38-28 on Saturday.

Starks had scoring runs of 11, 17 and 23 yards. He also fumbled
the ball from the 1-yard line into the end zone and fell on it for
a touchdown to tie the Bulldogs' single-game scoring record.

Leading 24-21, Starks threw a 28-yard scoring pass to Scott
Harward. He ran for his last TD with 2:51 left to help the Bulldogs
(3-4, 1-3 Southern Conference) snap a three-game losing streak.

Starks had 23 carries for 144 yards for the Bulldogs, who had a
season-high 296 yards rushing. He also was 14-for-19 for 183 yards.

Jordan Sorrells went 27-for-42 for 250 yards with three
touchdowns and two interceptions for the Paladins (4-3, 3-2), who
had 408 yards of offense.

CLINTON, S.C. (AP) -
Howard Abegesah rushed for three touchdowns
to lead Virginia Military Academy in a 31-20 win over Presbyterian
on Saturday.

Abegesah ran for 165 yards on 25 carries for the Keydets (2-5,
1-3 Big South Conference), and Kyle Hughes ran for 108 yards on 13
carries.

VMI took a 14-0 lead on 1-yard runs by Abegesah and Tim Maypray
late in the opening quarter. After the Blue Hose (0-7, 0-2) pulled
within seven on Myron Gary's 27-yard touchdown pass to Parker
Fleming on a fake field goal, Abegesah's 37-yard score put VMI up
21-7 at halftime.

Abegesah's final touchdown run, a 12-yarder, pushed the VMI lead
to 28-7 late in the third.

In the fourth, Trandon Dendy rushed for a 2-yard touchdown for
Presbyterian and Lance Byrd added a 1-yarder but it wasn't enough
for the Blue Hose.

Presbyterian has lost 10 straight games, while the win snapped a
five-game losing skid for VMI.
