Spartanburg, SC-Spartanburg-based Phoenix Racing has lost the Miccosukee Gaming Resorts sponsorship for both its Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series effort, the team's general manager tells the Spartanburg Herald-Journal.

Steve Barkdol says that the team will still go forward with its schedule for 2010 which includes running the full NNS schedule and about a dozen events in Sprint Cup.

Team owner James Finch had a relationship with Miccosukee for several seasons. It's not clear how he'll go about finding a replacement sponsor.

The team gained national notoriety last spring when driver Brad Kezelowski won the Cup race at Talladega.

The team's ARCA effort brought it some good news Friday as the Phoenix Racing car entered in that event won the pole for Saturday's race.
