COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Quinstad Davis scored 17 points, including
six in the final 3 minutes, to lead Gaffney past Lexington 71-57 in
the South Carolina Class AAAA boys basketball championship on
Friday night.
Tied at 49-49, the Indians (27-2) got a 3-pointer from Zevonta
Shands to lead for good, 52-49, with 6:43 remaining.
Gaffney scored the final eight points to seal the win.
Dershawn Dawkins added 14 points and Shands finished with 13 for
the Indians.
Shaq Roland led the Wildcats (25-6) with 20 points. Corey
Hendren added 15 and David Burns chipped in with 14 for Lexington.
