This was a story of two AAAA teams on two different levels living the good life.
The Dorman Cavaliers just keep crusing along, now at 12-0 and having won 18 straight as they began their quest for a second straight Big 16 title with a 31-0 shutout of White Knoll.
Quarterback Nelson Hughes just keeps improving with time and you can see the influence that head coach Dave Gutshall and his staff are having on him as they bring him along as a key part of an offense that has plenty of weapons.
Easley, back in the AAAA Division II playoffs for the first time in a few years, traveled 250 miles to defeat a 9-2 Beaufort team and earn their first playoff victory in over a decade. First-year head coach Chad Smith continues to do amazing things with a team that won one game the past two seasons but is 9-3 this year.
How about the A Division two brack in which CCES stays unbeaten scoring 63 points in its win and Williston-Elko scores 78. Those two get together next week. Defenses beware.
