The Abbeville Panthers go for their fourth state title, and first in 1A, as they take on Bamberg-Ehrhardtt at Columbia's Benedict College Friday at noon.
The Panthers have won 12 straight.
A handful of other area teams try punching their ticket to next weekend's title games.
In the Big 16 semi-finals, Dorman is home against Irmo while Byrnes plays host to Lexington as those upstate schools try to set-up a rematch of last year's state title game.
In 4A Division II, Greenwood is home against North Augusta as the Eagles try staying on course for their first state crown since 2006.
In AA, Woodruff plays host to unbeaten Central of Pageland. The Wolverines last state title came in 1984.
In North Carolina, it's round three of the playoffs (the state quarterfinal-round) and Polk Co. visits unbeaten Lincolnton.
