CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Kelvin Martin scored a career-high 27 points and added 14 rebounds to lead Charleston Southern to a 77-59 win over Wofford on Saturday night for the Buccaneers' third straight win.
Martin made 9 of 15 field goals and 9 of 10 free throws as Charleston Southern (17-10) finished 26 of 32 from the line in the Bracket Busters game.
Jeremy Sexton added 19 points for the Buccaneers of the Big South Conference, who used a 13-3 run to break open a tie game at 9-9 and led by as many as 18 in the first half.
A Kevin Gilter jumper trimmed the deficit to eight at 51-43 with 11 minutes left, then Arlon Harper's layup sparked a 7-0 run.
The Buccaneers maintained a cushion of at least 10 points the rest of the way.
Giltner's 21 points led Wofford (17-12) of the Southern Conference, which ended its two-game winning streak.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Drew Windler scored 18 points and Samford held on to beat Furman 55-49 in a Southern Conference game on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (11-16, 8-8) trailed 49-48 with 1:36 remaining. Jeffrey Merritt then hit a 3-pointer and Furman's Bobby Austin turned it over, leading to a free throw by Mike Connor with 37 seconds left to seal the victory.
After two missed 3-pointers by the Paladins, Windler made 3 of 4 free throws in the final 12 seconds.
Samford led 24-21 at halftime, and opened the second half on a 13-4 run to go up by 12 on Jeffrey Merritt's layup with 13:19. Raijon Kelly, who finished with 11 points, had seven during the spurt.
Merritt had 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Jordan Loyd was the only double-figure scorer for Furman, with 15 points. The Paladins shot just 20.7 percent from 3-point range (6 of 29).
